Parents and Tallenettes,

Words cannot express how proud I was of our girls on Saturday night!! They looked and danced beautiful!!! And what a great gift from our football team on an exciting nail biter State Championship victory!! All our familiies really turned out for an exciting finish to a thrilling season! START STRONG FINISH STRONG!!!!!

I also want to thank all of you for your contribution to the delightful Christmas gifts at the progressive dinner, before and after. You all were very thoughtful and generous; please know that I feel your blessings every day!!!!!

Our hosts for the progressive dinner certainly deserve a shoutout as well. Thank you to Sherry Underwood, Shannon Mileger, Tracy Frye and Janice Crosswhite and Beth Bistransin for their help. The evening was splendid!!!

Just a few updates, please remember to return you red velvet dress and shorts on Monday, Jan 5. Also if you are in town on Saturday Jan. 3rd we have a gym rehearsal to set contest piece formations from 11-3 in the competition gym.

Happy Holidays to you all, be safe in your travel!!

Love, MamaTek

The marabou was just delivered, and Mrs. Tek has asked that anyone who is available to help with this project please come to the studio tomorrow evening, Tuesday, at 5:00. (What's the project? We are adding marabou to the girls' costumes for their field performance this Saturday.) We'll finish it tomorrow evening without a problem if plenty of people come! This project will just be a little measuring, a little cutting, a little pinning, and a little tacking, so anyone who wants to help will have something to do - you don't have to be able to sew! If 5:00 is too early, just show up when you can. Anyone who arrives late and needs to be let in can call Michelle Bova's cell (972-955-9780).

After many hours of persistence, Linda Rubin has finally managed to get the Tallenette Booster club set up with the Krogers Share Card. Ms. Tek will be passing out the letters to the girls this week. To get the Booster Club on your individual Kroger's Plus Cards, all you need to do is give the letter to the cashier at the beginning of the order and she/he will scan it along with the Plus Card andvoila! you are enrolled. Please use this when you are shopping at Krogers. This is free money and every little bit helps.

Thank you Linda for your diligence in pursuing this endeavor

All Points Bulletin:

The girls will be performing a new routine Saturday. However, we are needing some help in getting the props ready. Our mission in this project, if you choose (and we hope you do) to accept this task is to make Christmas packages. It was decided that it would probably be better to take some boxeshome to paint versus doing it at the school. If you can help with picking up the boxes and/or takingsome items back to Go Figure in Garland, please contact Ms. Tek directly at lisa_smentek@allenisd.org If you can assist with the painting and/or the bow making, the material will be ready for pickup after1:00 pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Please consider helping so the Teks don't have to finish theproject during the wee hours of the night. That's saved for Contest and Showcase. Just Kidding, Ms. Tek.

Judy

Below is a list of what she needs.

1. Picking up boxes at Mr. Parcel (Greenville Ave. near Elkes) tomorrow about noon. (email Ms. Tek if you can)
2. Exchanging some foot undeez at Go Figure in Garland.
(email Ms. Tek if you can)
3. Painting these boxes red and green to look like packages.
(pick up at AHS after 1:00 Wednesday)
4. Making white bows with a velcro sticky on top to put on package box at half-time.
(one person so they will look the same)

Let me know if you can help!

Thank you to those of you who donated items for the Dicken's Christmas event in McKinney Square. A big thanks to those families who helped sell items. We had a great time and may I just say that, Bob Landon is sincerely one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was so accomodating and his employees are all so special. Katie, thank you for this opportunity and for your assistance.

Please note that the Progressive Dinner money is to be paid to Shannon Mileger, including any checks you need to write...they should be payable to her.

Thank you, parents for all you do. It seems to be a never-ending stream of requests right now but, it will settle down once we get through all the holiday stuff.

Sincerely,

The Executive Board
