Lisa Smentek Scholarship: Sienna Springate
Lisa Smentek, also known as “Mama Tek,” was the Tallenette Director from 2004-2017. She always had a passion for dance and performance. She was a Kilgore College Rangerette & directed drill teams all across Texas for a total of 30 years. Mrs. Smentek made an impact on so many lives. The love, passion, and dedication that she poured into the organization will never be forgotten. This scholarship was established by the Tallenettes Booster Club on May 9th, 2022 after Lisa Smentek’s passing.
Lindorfer Award: Kathryn Davis
The Lindorfer Award is made in honor of the late Allison Lindorfer, former Tallenette and Texas A&M Aggie. Allison was a dedicated team member and student with a truly benevolent heart who loved her Tallenettes and her Experience. She not only used her skills and heart in her young career as an ophthalmologist but served the needy through mission programs. The first scholarship was awarded in 2012 after Allison’s passing when it was decided by her family to establish a scholarship for a future Tallenette. Each year we honor the memory of Allison as we award this annual scholarship.
